The Art of Storytelling – Part 4: Videos

Now onto a few examples of science storytelling using web video. Here are a couple that I produced for NOVA. I made this first one by asking every person aboard the research vessel what it’s like to be in Greenland, and stringing their sentiments together along with some action shots of them doing field work. The result gives viewers a sense of what’s happening around the edges of the science and what it’s like to be a scientist.

Waging Science on the High Seas

This next one posed a visualization challenge. I think the solution we came up with works, and it’s definitely budget friendly.
